Hull Rupture is a base-management tower-defense roguelite where you manage a spaceship hurtling toward the alien homeworld, treating human lives as resources while repelling relentless assaults to keep humanity’s final weapon moving.
Hull Rupture is the fourth game in a series set in the Despots universe, each one focusing on a different genre. This time it’s base-management tower-defense with a little inspiration from FTL.
Earth is gone and your ship carries cooperative personnel tasked with delivering final vengeance under Despot AI’s command. Managing resources, power, and human lives keeps systems running as you construct interconnected modules producing resources, repairing damage, boosting efficiency, and reinforcing defenses.
Aliens breach your hull at predictable times and locations, yet somehow preparation still isn’t enough. Placing turrets, traps, barricades, and automated defenses creates kill zones while humans assist, though each wave grows stronger and more aggressive.
The playtest features a sizeable chunk of gameplay and really impresses with its macabre humor, excellent pixel art animation and addictive gameplay. The fact aht you’re trying to save humanity while also massacring a vast amount of humans is particularly hull-arious!
