Hunt The Night is a beautifully animated pixel art action adventure with RPG elements, where you become a Stalker who hunts down the horrors that lurk in the night.
In Hunt The Night you take on the role of Vesper, a member of an order of Stalkers who hunt monsters of the night. Thanks to a blood oath, there has been no night for hundreds of generations, but now the night is coming, and with it the monsters that lurk in its darkness.
As the shadows lengthen, you set out to save the last embers of humanity As you do this you’ll explore the dark world of Medram, solve puzzles, collect useful loot, fight enemies and battle powerful bosses.
The demo build of Hunt The Night takes around 30 minutes to play through and features a nice mixture of exploration and combat. You have a sword (which you can swap out for other melee weapons you find), a ranged weapon, a special ability slot and a perk slot. The combat is fast paced and challenging, requiring you to dodge and time attacks rather than button mash.
It’s a very promising game, with high quality pixel art animation, a beautifully designed world, challenging enemies and engaging skill-based combat. Darkness may be coming, but the future looks bright for Hunt The Night.
