Hymn to the Earless God is a dark Sci-Fi fantasy RPG adventure set in a world inhabited by bloodthirsty insectoids.
Currently in development by the creator of Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass, Hymn to the Earless God is a dark Sci-Fi RPG adventure set in the alien world of Gloom. The game will have four very different stories told from four very different character’s perspectives – Pox, Capella, Phlegm and Shear.
Pox is an insectoid whose civilization is built on the foundation that only the strong survive. Capella is a Chosen One who must make a dangerous journey and give birth to God. Phlegm is a deadbeat pickpocket who ends up forced into the employment of an unsavoury character and Shear is a great warrior who believes in a balance of life and death.
The Hymn to the Earless God demo features the start of Pox’s story and a little look at Capella’s one. The turn-based combat allows for short and challenging battles, but it’s the world building that really impresses (especially in Pox’s story) and really draws you into its strange alien insectoid world. It definitely looks like it’s bringing something new and interesting to the turn-based RPG genre.
