A visual novel created for the My First Game Jam, Immortal Snake Nest tells the surreal story of a woman who has a grotesque snake wrapped around her brain. The snake has some control over her and after collapsing at work, she is promptly admitted to a hospital. However, what happens at the hospital is even more horrifying than the snake, in-fact it makes her problem worse…
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, Immortal Snake Nest weaves a very dark and unsettling story during its short play time. The artwork and writing are both excellent. The events are pretty horrifying when taken at face value, but there are also some underlying themes of abuse and trauma that can really hit hard. You really wouldn’t want to go to this hospital!
