Infliction is a terrifying occult horror adventure with near-photorealistic Unreal Engine 4 powered visuals, which sees you exploring a once happy suburban household that’s been torn apart by grief.
In Infliction you explore an abandoned suburban household and try to piece together the story of what happened there. The narrative is centered around a real-world domestic tragedy and there are lots of objects that you can pick up and interact with, to get a better understanding of what happened and how things escalated from there. However, you’re not alone in the house, something remains – a nightmarish being of infinite grief and rage that will tear you apart if it catches you.
The current Kickstarter build of Infliction features around 20 minutes of gameplay and really impresses with its high quality visuals, tense atmosphere and the way it allows the player to piece together the narrative by examining objects in the environment. It’s already a very polished experience and there’s a real feeling of terror whenever those lights go out. Highly recommended.
