Iron Skies is a retro shoot ’em up where players take to hostile, bullet filled skies armed with powerful guns capable of turning enemy forces into scrap and flaming wreckage.
In the full version of Iron Skies you’ll choose from three distinct planes,and blast your way through seven levels, filled with air, ground, and water based enemies, along with massive boss vehicles guarding each stage’s end. Power-ups and add-ons let you boost your plane’s capabilities, while predictable enemy patterns ensure skill matters more than luck.
The demo features one playable plane and one level, and really impresses with its excellent pixel art visuals and classic arcade gameplay that’s easy to pick up and play (and isn’t as brutal as a hardcore bullet hell game). It’s pretty short, but a lot of fun and well worth taking to the skies with.
