Jetboard Joust is an action packed side-scrolling retro arcade shoot em up with lots of OTT power-ups and huge bosses to dispatch from your jetboarding hoverboard.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer over a year ago, Jetboard Joust is a spectacle-filled arcade shoot ‘em up that takes place on a distant planet and sees you blasting aliens who are attempting to abduct your people. The game follows the player (as in Resogun), rather than auto-scrolling and you fly around atop a weaponized jetboard, blasting aliens, collecting power-ups and taking on big powerful bosses.
You’re vastly outnumbered, but maybe not outgunned as there are some seriously deadly power-ups you can collect, from simple flamethrowers and grenade launchers to gravity hammers, gamma rays and antimatter guns. There’s a wide variety of enemies and bosses to try them out on too, some of which you’ll notice are homages to classic arcade games.
