Jump Tanks, a game created by Mechanical Butterfly Studios, is a gorgeous 5v5 Arena where you drive around in heavily armed tanks picking off the opposing team with a delicious array of weapons.
From the moment you press play you’re thrusted into the world of Jump Tanks, set in vibrant mega cities with skyscrapers reaching 20ft. You go into your hanger and assemble a crew of 3 drivers, each with different perks and tank layouts giving you a good mix of versatility and skill based team fighting. Not only are you given tanks all geared up and ready to fire but you can completely customise each one to suit your needs. Have a battalion of Long Ranged assassins or get close and personal and unload a bullet storm of fury, either way you will be able to play the game your way and have a blast while doing so.
The graphics are pristine, with neon lights littering each cityscape and buildings that not only block on coming bullets but give you an advantage by dropping down on unsuspecting targets. The cites themselves are beautiful, they don’t feel lifeless and the creators have put as much effort into their landscapes as they have their tanks. Each tank is modeled differently, some with double jump while others have rocket boosters to glide, and come full outfit for people that wish to join the fight quickly. The audio is ecstatic, they have worked hard with infusing Japanese tradition instruments like the Taiko Drums into a futuristic dance beat that makes you feel you’re amongst the action and not just controlling a game character. Jump Tanks is a game suited to everyone, from the casual gamer (thanks to the quick matches) to the extremely competitive gamers. It’s a fun game that offers highly agile, artillery based combat and plenty of of versatility. A Beta certainly worth jumping on.
