KILLER BEES is a PS1 styled first person B-movie horror game where you attempt to escape from a labyrinthine building that’s infested with swarms of deadly killer bees!
Released as part of the Haunted PS1 Demo Disk (a collection of PS1 styled horror game demos), KILLER BEES is a freaky first person horror FPS where you find yourself trapped in a building with large swarms of killer bees! Perhaps the best method of disposing of them would be some form of bug spray, but your character elects to shoot them instead. Surprisingly, shooting them is rather effective, but you’ll really need your wits about you to survive the horrors of this house…
KILLER BEES is still early in development so does have a few glaring issues at the moment – the lighting is a little too low, the default VHS filter is unworkable (switch to PS1 in the options menu), it’s very tough (even in easy mode) and there are no checkpoints. It does however, have an excellent horror B-movie vibe, a great PS1 era aesthetic and some very tense shootouts with clouds of bees (which doesn’t sound ridiculous at all). A freaky little retro horror FPS with a wonderfully weird premise.
