Killer Frequency – Game Jam Build

Killer Frequency is a fantastic little first person horror puzzle game that puts you in the role of a late night radio talk show host who attempts to give advice to various callers who are being stalked by a homicidal maniac.

In Killer Frequency you step into the shoes of a late night local radio talk show host whose town is in the process of being terrorised by a knife-wielding serial killer. Rather than run away or phone the police, the killers potential victims have decided to call you for advice, so the answers you give them could really mean the difference between life and death!

The entirety of Killer Frequency takes place from within your radio studio, with you able to select calls and toggle the inputs between the news, your mic and the music. You can also get up and walk around the studio, which can be handy when looking for useful information to help your callers (such as a map of the local town and a note of all the road closures). There are three callers to deal with and saving them may win you a few more listeners, but it may also earn you an unwanted enemy too…

Taking around 30 minutes to play through, Killer Frequency really impresses with its unique setting, witty writing and excellent voice work. It features a great mixture of comedy and horror, with lots of tongue-in-cheek humor but also some genuinely scary moments as you listen in to what could easily be your caller’s final words. Will your words save your callers or will they be the final nail in the coffin?
