Killer Queen Black is a super fast paced and highly competitive eight player action/strategy platformer that pits teams of players against each other in matches that can be won in three different ways.
As we mentioned during the closed Beta sign up, Killer Queen Black is a home conversion of the hit Killer Queen arcade game where teams of bee-like bugs do battle in single screen arenas. In this iteration teams of four (three drones and one queen) face off against each other in fast paced matches that can be won in three different ways – Military, Economic or Snail. A Military victory is achieved by killing the enemy Queen three times. An Economic victory is achieved by filling your hive with nectar and a Snail victory can be achieved by riding a large snail to the other side of the screen.
It’s a very tactical experience that requires the level of teamwork and strategy you get in a MOBA, but with fast paced matches that can be over in under a minute. The pixel art animation is excellent and the changes the devs have made from the original Killer Queen arcade game all add to the experience.
To download the Killer Queen Black open Beta you need to have the official Discord app installed on your computer and you then need to sign up for the Beta at the official Killer Queen Black website. After signing up you’ll be sent a Discord group link which also activates the Beta. On the left hand side of the screen you’ll see “GET THE BETA!”. Click on it and you’ll be taken to the store page where you can claim the Beta. If you have any trouble getting it to download, go to your games library in the Discord app and you’ll be able to download it there.
