KINETIK is a cool new squad based sci-fi third person survival role-playing cover shooter in which you fight alongside and command a robotic partner that you craft and customise yourself from resources collected in game.
KINETIK is being created for PC, Xbox One and PS4 by veteran developers who’ve worked on the likes of EverQuest, Planetside 2 and DC Universe Online. It blends survival gameplay such as crafting, recipes and levelling with intense squad based military warfare. In the game you build a loyal co-op squad-mate from scratch, using cartable resources that are scattered around the game world. Everything from your robobuddies weaponry to it’s AI can be customised and it can make a powerful ally, with it working autominously, but with you able give it commands on-the-fly during the heat of battle (a little like Mass Effect).
It’s an impressive looking game that promises spectacle-filled squad based combat with plenty of depth. Building and playing alongside your own robot pal is an enticing prospect too – who doesn’t want their our own personal T-800?
