Kinoko is a beautiful little chilled out third person adventure where a forest spirit helps clear the world of Winter, to usher in a new Spring.
Created by Thunderlime, a team of students from Dare Academy, in Kinoko you take control of a cute little forest spirit who is tasked with clearing the world of the remnants of winter to make way for Spring. To do this you have to visit different areas of a forest, clear snowdrifts, knock the snow off trees and plant seedlings. Then you activate stone causeways to allow you to access the new areas.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, the gameplay is very simple, and is generally you searching for things to interact with to complete each area. However, it’s the beautiful visuals and wonderfully chilled out atmosphere that really makes you fall in love with Kinoko. Exploring each new area is a delight and watching as the snow clears and greenery shoots up is a very pleasant experience. A heartwarming 15 minute adventure well worth checking out.
