Lake Facade is a PS1 styled Lovecraftian fishing horror game where a fishing trip in an idyllic little lake takes some very unexpected turns.
Created for the DreadXP Dredge the Depths game jam, Lake Facade sees you visiting a quiet little lafe and partaking in a little fishing. All is normal at first and you catch a few tasty fish, but then you come across a key to a graveyard and things start to get weird…
At the moment there are a few little bugs (such as being able to fall through the map and the translation not working on a certain book you collect), but other than that Lake Facade is an excellent little game. The PS1 styled visuals look beautiful (complete with different lighting effects throughout the day), there are some great little twists and there are even two different endings to discover. Highly recommended.
