Lanky Larry is a fast paced precision grappling platformer where you use a grappling hook to help your little bird-in-a-barrel swing through each level within a very tight time limit.
Aside from being able to do a tiny hop by pressing the spacebar, all of your movement in Lanky Larry is mouse controlled. You aim and fire out your grappling gun, then swing and release to propel yourself through each level. It takes a little getting used to, but once you get to grips with it you can swing through the first few levels with relative ease.
The first handful of levels keep on repeating until you earn enough coins to open a door on the fifth level, which then opens up a lot more levels (if you can beat them). Lots of the levels also include hidden routes, but you won’t have much time to look around and find them – time is very tight so you need to rush through each level as fast as possible.
It’s a very tough, but addictive little game with excellent pixel art animation, lots of hidden secrets and a grappling hook based movement system that’s great fun to play around with. See if you can become the king of the swingers!
