Lethal Running is a pixel art action RPG that blends brutal roguelike twin-stick combat with survival elements as you fight for a better life in a dystopian society’s deadly Running Man-esque game show.
Set in a dystopian futuristic world where most of the population lives in poverty under an oppressive government, Lethal Running sees you entering a deadly game show that promises big rewards to the winners (and body bags for the losers). You will fight hordes of enemies and unique bounty hunters in the ruins of the city and while you’re out in the wastelands you’ll need to scavenge, treat wounds, build campfires, craft and deal with heat, cold and radiation to survive.
It’s an interesting concept that looks set to add a bit more depth to the roguelike dungeon crawling genre. The fight for survival will be very different inside and outside of the city, but you’ll need to work at both to succeed. Sign up for the Beta to see how you fare.
