LIGHT：Black Cat & Amnesia Girl is a Little Nightmares-esque cinematic horror puzzle adventure where a black cat guides an amnesiac girl through a mysterious place that’s home to three large shadowy monsters.
In LIGHT：Black Cat & Amnesia Girl you take control of the titular black cat and attempt to guide a young girl who has lost her memory. The creepy world that she’s trapped in is home to three different large shadowy monsters (one human shaped, one wolf shaped and one that looks like a spider).
The demo build takes place in a large house and sees you trying to escape while avoiding the human shaped monster that roams it. Being a cat, you can’t really interact with many things, but you can tell the girl to interact with objects, allowing you to solve puzzles and stay out of sight from the monster.
It could do with a little more visual flair and more of a soundtrack, but even as it stands it’s shaping up to be an excellent game. The puzzles are well designed, the monster is suitably creepy and the core mechanics of being a bossy cat are a lot of fun. Definitely worth shining a light on.
