MADiSON is a very intense first person psychological horror game where you descend into insanity after a demon forces you to complete a gory ritual.
First featured on Alpha Beta Gamer way back in 2017, MADiSON is gearing up for a full release soon and the devs have released a new demo. The second half of the demo is pretty similar to the original demo build, but the first half is all new and gives a little more of the narrative (it appears you may very well be a “mad son”, and your father is very disappointed in you)
In the game you take on the role of Luca, a young man who awakens in a darkened room covered in blood. It appears a demon has forced you to commit terrible acts and perform an ancient ritual. As you try to piece together the pieces of what you’ve done you’ll search for clues, solve puzzles and use your Polaroid-style instant camera. Maybe some things are best left forgotten though…
It’s a very creepy game with remarkably high quality visuals, lots of great environmental detail and a very unsettling atmosphere. The impressive audio and visual design combine to create an incredibly intense experience that has you on the back foot right from the start and there are some great little scares throughout. Highly recommended.
