Malfunction is a tense little low rez Sci-Fi thriller where you awaken from cryosleep to find your spaceship headed for disaster.
Created for the “Four Game Developers Jam Off the Same Art Kit” game jam, in Malfunction you are rudely awoken from cryosleep to find that you’re in serious peril. The rest of your crew are still in cryosleep so you’ll have to deal with the situation alone, and time isn’t on your side – you’d better hurry!
Taking around 5-10 minutes to play through, Malfunction is a short but very effective little game that really ramps up the tension as you play, while still allowing for a little humor. The low rez visuals work well and the nature of your impending doom (deliberately left out of this review) makes a nice change from most Sci-Fi horror/thriller games.
