PC, Xbox and PS5 owners can now join in the open playtest for Marathon – a PvPvE survival extraction FPS from the creators of Halo and Destiny.
In Marathon, you infiltrate a derelict colony as a bio-cybernetic Runner, scavenging zones for valuables with a crew or alone. Tense exploration breaks into fast-paced PvP combat where gunplay is responsive, supplies are finite, and preparation is rewarded. Six equippable Runner shells like Destroyer, Recon, and Thief offer diverse playstyle foundations to build upon with moddable weapons, body implants, and core system upgrades.
Face the unknown as a crew of two or three, or sneak into lobbies as Rook – a lone scavenger with nothing to lose. Forge uneasy alliances through proximity chat, but remember allies can become enemies instantly. Liaise with six competing factions for season-long unlocks, and eventually breach the orbital Cryo Archive to challenge an entity even the UESC fears.
The playtest is live now and will finish on March 2nd 6pm GMT. Put on your running shoes and jump in not to join the Marathon.
