MEATHOOK is a PS1 styled on-rails survival horror game where you spend the whole game suspended by a meathook on a conveyor mechanism.
In MEATHOOK you’ve been captured by a cult and suspended from a sinister conveyor mechanism by a meathook. Quite why the cult has done this is unknown, but at least they’ve given you a fighting chance. You can only move along the conveyor rails, but thankfully there are plenty of weapons and items within reach to aid your escape.
The MEATHOOK demo features a selection of levels and takes around 20-30 minutes to play through. It takes a little time to get to grips with the controls, but once you do it’s a lot of fun and the blend of rail-shooter and survival horror mechanics work well. There’s some creative level design and the demo ending is very intriguing. Highly recommended.
