My Very Own Train Station is a short and stylish branching narrative experience about the burden of making choices that can affect the rest of your life.
In My Very Own Train Station your character finds himself sitting at a train station where the passing trains represent some important choices he has to make in life. It’s very much a narrative driven experience, with your actions limited to just selecting “Yes” or “No” as you decide whether or not to get on a train. Your character’s been stuck at the train station for some time now – a place that is full of memories of drunken debauchery and tearful farewells. Maybe he should move on and catch a train out of there, maybe he shouldn’t – the choice is up to you.
It only takes a few minutes to play through My Very Own Train Station but it’s worth playing through multiple times to see all the endings as they’re beautifully animated and life-affirming. The endings are all very different, but they’re all uplifting, so it seems that the your character’s indecisiveness is the only thing keeping him stuck at the station in the first place. Maybe no choice in life is wrong as long as you commit to it.
