NeverGrave is a roguelite metroidvania adventure where you control a magical hat that can possess enemies.
Playable in single-player or co-op with up to four players, NeverGrave is a beautifully animated 2D action platforming roguelite about a cursed witch’s hat. You take control of said hat which has the ability to reanimate and control corpses.
The main body you control is a sword-wielding hero, but you can also control the corpses of enemies, giving you access to their abilities. As you battle your way through procedutally generated dungeons you’ll learn new abilities, battle bosses and rebuild your village (strengthening yourself in the process).
The combat does feel a touch basic, but the hand drawn animation is very striking and the possession mechanics are a lot of fun. Killing an enemy and possessing them never gets old!
