New World is a massively multiplayer medieval fantasy RPG from Amazon Game Studios, which sees players attempting to survive an a breathtakingly beautiful island that’s home to an ancient evil that aims to eradicate humanity from its shores.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Alpha sign ups last year, New World is an open ended medieval fantasy sandbox RPG set on the beautiful, but dangerous island of Aeternum. You are a stranger in this land, and not a welcome one, as an ancient evil works in the darkness and corrupts, with an aim of expelling the scourge of humanity from its land.
New World features a blend of melee, ranged and magic based combat, with a wide range of customizable weapons that can allow for diverse fighting styles. You can venture out into the wilderness alone, but teamwork will most likely lead to more success, with you able to work together and form companies of soldiers, master craftsmen, traders and leaders.
There’s no gameplay footage available yet, but the cinematic trailer looks fantastic, with a rich medieval fantasy game world and some excellent wildlife and monster designs. The closed Beta is due to start in April 2020 so sign up now to be one of the first to set foot on Amazon’s brave New World.
