Nightmare Traveler is a creepy and surreal little psychological horror adventure where a young boy enters a world of nightmares to save his sister and seek vengeance.
In Nightmare Traveler you follow the adventure of a young boy who has a pretty rough homelife – there’s little love shown to him and a shadowy father figure beats and berates him. It’s clear the shadowy father figure blames you for something, but whether he’s right to blame you remains to be seen, with the narrative playing out via notes you find and conversations you have throughout the game. The game doesn’t spell anything out for you, but it takes some interesting twists as you piece together the information.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, it’s a very tense and unsettling little horror game that goes to some pretty dark places. An intense little nightmare well worth delving into.
