Noctheria is a N64-styled action-adventure blending Zelda indpired classic dungeon exploration with Resident Evil inspired survival horror.
In Noctheria you’re a Novice Priestess sent to Albadusk, where a god once sacrificed himself to save humanity. What begins as religious duty quickly spirals into a terrifying nightmare of ancient gods and lurking darkness. As with Zelda, you’ll be able to roam the open world and enter cursed dungeons, solving each location through focus and wit rather than brute force. Tools earned inside dungeons will then be able to be used to unlock secrets previously out of reach in the open world.
The demo features a big chunk of gameplay, largely set in a Resident Evil style house. The combat is a little on the easy side, but other than that it’s a very promising game. The monster designs and overall aesthetic are great and there’s a nice variety of puzzles too. Highly recommended.
