Outpost Zero is a promising new multiplayer survival FPS that sees you attempting to survive, gather resources, fight enemies and build an army of AI bots to colonise an alien planet you’ve landed on.
Pitched as “Starcraft as a multiplayer Survival FPS”, Outpost Zero is a multiplayer sci-fi FPS that incorporates elements of resource gathering, base building, resource management and combat. In the game you take control of an AI Overseer who is sent on a mission from Earth to terraform and colonise an alien planet so that it’s suitable for sustaining human life when they get there.
Players will explore the alien planet, battle native creatures, build a base, fend off attacks from pirates and enemy raiders, attack enemy bases and build an army of bots. It’ll feature scaling combat, upgradeable weapons and amor, and squad based combat alongside your AI bots as you battle enemy forces. You can train your AI squadmates to make them better at tasks and kit them out with weapons and amor. They may be AI bots but they have emotions too – you can keep them happy and efficient by providing luxurious living quarters, providing entertainment and satisfying their needs.
