Overdrive Escape is a hardcore shooter with roguelike elements set in Miami City during 2054, where the Ichido Corporation creates biological robots called replicants and you must escape as a test tube grown weapon.
In Overdrive Escape you wake up at the beginning of the same day after each death, trapped in a brutal cycle of experimentation until replicants help you start your revolution. You’ll dodge bullets, lasers, and homing missiles while wielding pistols, machine guns, and plasma weapons with elemental damage that corresponds to different health types. Electric bullets disable shields quickly while fire bullets burn through flesh, allowing you to combine damage types strategically. Rescue comrades from capsules to play as different characters, defeat bosses requiring unique combat approaches, and upgrade your abilities as you fight through the corporation’s headquarters.
Each room might be your last as security forces deploy enemies with varying tactics including dodging capabilities and protective shields. Running around with a minigun like a bee becomes necessary for survival. Join in the open playtest to get into overdrive!
