Pain Party is a wonderfully absurd physics-based third person action game that sees you competing in a wacky Japanese game show to decide where your soul will eternally rest.
Currently in development by Icehelm (creators of the excellent Gone Golfing), Pain Party is a crazy new third person action game that takes place in purgatory. This purgatory doesn’t look anything like what Dante imagines – it more resembles a wacky Japanese game show, and you’ll have to win if you want to avoid going to Hell!
Pain Party will feature a single-player campaign mode and online PVP for up to 16 players. You’ll need to run, jump and shoot your way through dangerous obstacle courses and even battle bosses in tactical Soulsian combat. As you progress you’ll unlock lots of fun skins for your character, the majority of which look thoroughly ridiculous!
As it features multiplayer physics-based obstacle courses it will no doubt get compared to Fall Guys, but Pain Party is a very different game and it has a lot more variety in the gameplay. It looks like it could be a whole lot of fun and should offer a real challenge as you try and fight your way into the good place.
