PARANOID is a stylish and surreal first person psychological horror adventure where you find yourself trapped in a nightmare where past mistakes come back to haunt you.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer a year ago, PARANOID is a tense and trippy first person horror adventure where your past mistakes torment you. In the game you take on the role of Michael, a man who finds himself trapped in a nightmare and is pursued by mysterious shadowy monsters who are keen to make him pay for his sins.
The current build features some tweaks to the first chapter (which was in the first build we covered) and an entire new chapter. It’s a very stylish and atmospheric experience with some very striking visuals and great little jump scares. Unfortunately the narrative in the second chapter gets pretty convoluted and hard to follow and the voice acting is a little rough, but it shows a lot of promise and the nightmarish world that you’re trapped in is a fascinating place to explore. It turns out that there are plenty of reasons for you to be paranoid in this game!
