Pink River is a fast paced little roguelike rafting adventure where you can’t steer your raft as it floats down a hazard-filled river, but you can rebuild it!
Created for the GMTK Game Jam, in Pink River you attempt to float down a beautiful, but deadly pink river on a raft that you can’t steer. Instead of steering the raft you can rebuild it though, as it’s made up of individual crates that you can pick up and drop in different places, allowing you to restructure the raft to avoid hazards and pick up useful collectibles.
The river is filled with hazards like mines and rocks that can destroy your raft and merfolk that shoot at your character. You need to avoid them while picking up useful items, such as health, crystals and extra crafts for your raft.
Pink River a tricky game, but very addictive and original. The beautifully animated pink pixel art river is a joy to explore and the raft-building mechanics are a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
