Pity Party is an unsettling little point and click puzzle game where a young girl with a psychological disorder has a birthday party with some very creepy looking imaginary guests.
Created as a homage to the Rusty Lake’s Cube Escape series, Pity Party is a freaky little five minute point and click adventure that really gets under your skin. At first glance it just looks like a charming little point and click puzzler about a young girl’s birthday party, but almost immediately you notice something’s a little off. The music is a little distorted and out of tune and the girl is upset that nobody has turned up to the party. However, it’s when a couple of guests do turn up that things really start to get weird…
It’s a very unsettling little game with some real darkness below its charming looking hand drawn visuals. The fact that the guests may be a projection of the girl’s inner feelings doesn’t make them any less creepy (or the events of the party any less disturbing). A freaky little five minute party well worth attending.
