POSTWORLD is a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-esque hardcore action RPG in which you attempt to survive in a post apocalyptic wasteland and take revenge on those who subjected you to inhumane experiments.
We first featured POSTWORLD on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Alpha last year and were very impressed with its ultra-violent hardcore action RPG gameplay. In the game you take on the role of a survivor in a 2120 post apocalyptic wasteland, and are looking for vengeance after a mysterious corporation subjected you to horrific experimentation.
The wasteland of POSTWORLD is a tough place to survive in – you’ll need to manage your sleep, hunger and thirst levels, as well as deal with rampaging enemies who continue to come at you even after having body parts ripped off. You’ll need to scavenge, learn new skills interact with three different factions and master ranges and close quarters melee combat to survive. There’s a wide variety of weaponry to master and each one is highly customizable, allowing you to tailor them to your playstyle.
POSTWORLD is still early in development so does have some rough edges, but it has a lot of potential – the game world is an interesting place to explore and the combat is great fun. It feels fondly reminiscent S.T.A.L.K.E.R., particularly due to its post apocalyptic Russian setting. Well worth checking out for a brutal fight for survival in a hostile wasteland.
