Project Wingman is a very impressive air combat flight sim with gorgeous visuals and easily accessible controls that allow you to jump in and take to the skies for some epic dogfights.
The current build of Project Wingman gives you access to two missions and two different fighter planes (The Sk.27 and the F/E-18). The planes have customisable weapon loadouts and the missions contain a mixture of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat. Both planes are very agile and the controls are very intuitive, giving the game an arcadey feel akin to the Ace Combat games. This makes the game very easy to pick up and play, even for flight sim novices, but also allows for plenty of spectacular combat as you dodge missiles and attempt to lock on to the enemy.
It’s still early in development, but the audio/visual design of Project Wingman is already very impressive and the controls are very responsive. The only thing that’s really lacking is variety, but that will no doubt come with future releases. We’ll look forward to seeing more of Project Wingman in the future as it’s shaping up to be an experience that will put most mainstream flight sims to shame. Highly recommended.
