Beta sign ups have re-opened for Pyramid Plunge, a beautifully animated 2D Spellunky-esque roguelike action platformer where two adventurers find themselves trapped inside a great pyramid filled with traps, treasure and monsters.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last year, Pyramid Plunge is a lighthearted 2D action platforming roguelike where you attempt to escape from an ever-changing pyramid. It’s playable in single-player and co-op, and follows the adventure of Georgio and Felicie, a very unlikely couple. Georgio is fond of beer and farting, while Felicie is an avid reader and history buff. Both will have to work together to escape the pyramid.
It’s a promising game that looks set to inject a little companionship into the Spellunky style roguelike action platforming genre. The pixel art animation is fantastic and there’s promise of lots to discover in its ever-shifting pyramid. Sign up now to make like an Egyptian early.
