Raji: An Ancient Epic is a beautiful isometric action adventure game that draws inspiration from Indian mythology, with you taking control of a young girl who is chosen by the gods to do battle against the dark forces that have invaded Earth.
In Raji: An Ancient Epic you take on the role of Raji, a young gypsy girl who is bestowed with the power of the gods to defend Earth against the demons that are invading. Her brother was kidnaped during the invasion so she sets out to put an end to the chaos, defeat the dark lord behind it all and rescue her brother.
It’s a great looking game with hand painted artwork, fluid character animation and epic vistas filled with crumbling ancient Indian architecture. The combat is fun too, with Raji capable of melee and ranged attacks, as well as some powerful special moves. As you progress you can also be able to align yourself with different gods, empowering your weapons with fire, lightning, ice, earth and rage.
Even in these early stages of development Raji: An Ancient Epic is a very impressive game, with jaw-droppingly beautiful visuals, tactical combat and an intriguing narrative that’s steeped in Indian mythology. An epic ancient adventure well worth embarking on.
