Raji: An Ancient Epic is a beautifully crafted action adventure game that draws inspiration from Indian mythology as a young girl is drawn into a war between gods and demons.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the 2017 kickstarter campaign, Raji: An Ancient Epic follows the adventure of a young girl called Raji, who is chosen by the gods to save humanity from an invasion of demons. A thousand years since the demons were defeated in the last great war, they have now invaded Earth again and are now threatening the extinction of the human race. Raji’s brother has been abducted by the demons and now the gods have bestowed mystical powers upon her as she sets out to save him and the human race.
The action adventure gameplay in Raji: An Ancient Epic is a little like the classic God of War games, with a mixture of exploration, climbing, platforming and beating the crap out of demons. The character movement is very fluid and you have some nice abilities that come in handy as you attempt to pummel the demons into submission.
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic game with gorgeous visuals, an interesting story and a nice mixture of exploration and combat. A classic PS2/PS3-era God of War style action adventure with upgraded visuals and a likeable protagonist.
