RetroShooti is a wonderfully weird retro side-scrolling shoot ‘em up that’s packed full of crazy surprises as you blast your way through its bizarre and chaotic levels.
In RetroShooti you take control of a spaceship shaped hero as they make their way home through a wacky rainbow universe. It is a side-scrolling shoot ‘em up, but the sheer variety and ridiculousness of everything it throws at you means it’s quite unlike any other shoot ‘em up you’ll have ever played.
The current build of RetroShooti features one large level that takes around 15 minutes to play through and is jam-packed full of creative content. Among other things you’ll fight your way through a game of Flappy Bird, a giant game of Pong, a Burger Time-esque burger stacking section, flying busses, and a Windows desktop. That’s not even taking into account the crazy power-ups that can totally transform how you play – such as turning you into ninja or temporarily turning it into a drawing game!
It’s a fantastic game that throws more crazy stuff at you in 15 minutes than most games manage in 15 hours. It makes for a gleefully silly and incredibly entertaining shoot ‘em up that means you’ll have a massive grin on your face from start to finish.
