Get your skates on! PC owners can now sign up for the upcoming Alpha test of Ubisoft’s roller derby handball game, Roller Champions.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer when the Pre-Alpha demo was released last year, Roller Champions is a fast paced arena sports game that plays like a fusion of roller-derbying, handball and Rocket League. In the game players fight for possession of the ball and when a player has the ball then they attempt to complete laps and dunk the ball in the goal. The more laps you do before you dunk the ball then the more points you earn (1 point for a 1 lap dunk, 3 points for a 2 lap dunk and 5 points of a 3 lap dunk), but obviously the longer you have possession of the ball the more chance of being tackled and being left with no points for your efforts.
Last year’s pre-Alpha build was a lot of fun, delivering an easily accessible, but exciting skill-based sporting experience. Ubisoft have had a year to work on it since then, so you can expect it to be significantly improved. Sign up now for and lace up your skates for the Roller Champions Alpha!
