Rubber is a Crazy Taxi inspired open world driving game where you drive a taxi cab in a futuristic city of robots.
Created by a group of students from L’ESMA, Rubber is essentially Crazy Taxi in a city of robots. The gameplay is pretty similar to SEGA’s classic, with you picking up and dropping off your robotic customers as fast as possible before your time runs out. The passengers all have different demands about your driving style, such as going as fast as possible or avoiding crashing. Some passengers will even make spam pop-ups fill the screen to obscure your view.
It’s obviously very derivative of Crazy Taxi, but that’s no bad thing. It’s got an addictive gameplay loop, some fun little touches and a vibrant futuristic city to drive around. A crazy cab ride well worth taking.
