Sacré Bleu is a beautifully animated 2.5D sword swinging action platforming adventure set during the renaissance in Paris, that sees you playing a musketeer who’s been thrown into the Bastille on false charges.
Set in the year 1650, in Sacré Bleu you play a plucky little musketeer who must climb and fight his way to the top of the Bastille fortress and escape after being wrongfully imprisoned. Once free you’ll then be able to search for the people responsible for your imprisonment in landmarks across renaissance Paris, such as Notre Dame Cathedral and The Palace of Versailles.
There’s a nice variety of gameplay on offer in Sacré Bleu, with tricky platforming sections akin to the early Prince of Persia games, 1v1 fencing duels against guards, barrel riding, hack and slash combat against multiple guards and fast paced ‘run from the horde’ sections. The movement and combat is very fluid, with your nimble little musketeer capable of slicing his way through enemies and navigating the various deadly hazards in each level.
