Saturnalia is a stylish third/first person survival horror adventure where an isolated village in Sardinia is haunted by an ancient ritual.
In Saturnalia you will investigate an ancient ritual steeped in Sardinian folklore. The maze-like village is randomized each time you die and you’ll piece together the intergenerational story from four different character’s perspectives. You’ll need to learn to navigate the village as you evade monsters, open shortcuts and solve puzzles.
It has a few rough edges and it seems a little too dark at times (even with the matches), but it’s a very unique feeling survival horror game. The stop-motion/rotoscope inspired visual style is particularly cool and the Sardinian village setting has a lot of promise.
