Scavengers is a multiplayer “coopetition” survival shooter where teams of players compete and cooperate whilst engaging in PvE combat in a hostile post-apocalyptic world.
In Scavengers teams of four attempt to survive in the game’s vast frostbitten game world. It’s a barren and bitter place and it’s not just competing teams that are out to kill you. You also have to deal with savage outlander raiders, extreme weather, starvation, mutated scourge monstrosities and hostile local wildlife such as angry grizzly bears.
It features different character classes to choose from and rewards cooperation – not just within your own team, but with other teams too. You do compete against other teams but you will also have to work together to achieve larger goals (like taking down a big monster). Once you achieve that goal though all bets are off as you fight over the rewards.
There’s not much more information available about Scavengers or any gameplay footage at the moment, but the “coopetition” element is an interesting twist and that snow covered game world seems to harbor plenty of nasty ways for you to die.
