Season is an absolutely gorgeous third person adventure where you take a bicycle trip to collect artefacts and document the world before a mysterious cataclysm washes everything away.
Currently in development by Scavengers Studio (creators of The Darwin Project), Season takes you on a journey of discovery through a beautiful doomed world. In the game you take on the role of a young woman who leaves her secluded community to explore and document its surreal version of the mid-twentieth century world before it’s destroyed.
You see the world through her eyes as she sees it for the first time, discovers different societies, meets interesting characters and observes wildlife. She documents, photographs, draws and records what she sees to try and preserve a record of the doomed world. Along the way she’ll learn what caused the last cataclysm and what may cause the impending one.
It’s an absolutely stunning game with a fantastic Breath of the Wild-esque art style and a vast world to explore that’s filled with fascinating discoveries. Every screenshot looks like a work of art and the premise is very alluring. It’s worth noting that this is a full-on Beta test, where you’ll be expected to complete feedback forms, participate in video calls and play at set times.
