SELINI is a stylish 2.5D non-linear puzzle action adventure where a replicant explores a corrupted world.
With aesthetics inspired by INSIDE and Hyper Light Drifter, SELINI is a non-linear action adventure set in a world that’s filled with corrupted replicants. You are one of the few non-corrupted replicants who awakens and sets out on a journey through the forgotten ruins of a civilization in search of answers.
SELINI’s 2.5D visual style will remind players of INSIDE, but the gameplay is a little more action focused, with you able to attack enemies and battle bosses, rather than evading them all the time. There are a few puzzles, but they’re fairly simple (at the moment anyway), and seem to be more based around discovering secrets.
The combat in the current build feels a little weak, with the only real challenge being a boss battle (regular enemies are pretty much just cannon fodder). This will hopefully improve once you unlock more abilities though, and the exploration, world building, platforming and visual design are all excellent. SELINI’s ruined world is a fascinating place to explore and by the end of the demo you’ll be dying to discover more of it.
