Slenderwave and the Eight Vibez is a fun little horror game that transports Slenderman into a bizarre vaporwave world.
Created for the Vaporwave Horror Game Jam, Slenderwave and the Eight Vibez is a short and stylish horror game set in a strange vaporwave space that’s inhabited by a vaporwave Slenderman. In the game you find yourself sucked into a mysterious Slenderwave arcade machine in your local amusement arcade. To escape you now need to find the eight Vibes (plastic cups) whilst also evading the freaky vaporwave Slenderman that’s chasing you.
The actual Slenderman isn’t massively scary and he’s a little easy to avoid, but aside from that Slenderwave and the Eight Vibez is a great little horror game. The vaporwave setting is very cool and the way the environment illuminates each time you collect a Vibe is a great touch. The actual amusement arcade setting at the start and end of the game has some nice little details too – such as a Polybius machine that sits next to the Slenderwave one. See if you can survive the Slenderwave!
