Soulborn is a narrative-driven open world action RPG adventure that draws inspiration from Zelda and The Witcher set in a world steeped in Nose mythology where you use Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, as you attempt to stop Ragnarok.
Taking place 644 years after the first Ragnarok, where all the gods died, the Midgard of Soulborn is a place ruled by demi-gods, and you take on the role of one by the name of Brynjar Townshield. He wields Thor’s old hammer, Mjolnir, which has the ability to transform into different weapons and creatures that will aid your quest – the quest being to defeat the ultimate beast Nidhöggr and prevent Ragnarok.
Even in these early stages of development Soulborn is a great looking game, with gameplay that is fondly reminiscent of the Zelda series, but set in a darker Norse mythology themed world. On your adventure you’ll explore dungeons, solve puzzles, craft potions and equipment and battle monsters – all with your trusty Mjolnir by your side. To sign up for the Soulborn Alpha join the official Discord group then go to the #alpha-key channel and type “/getKey”. You will be DM’d and asked to agree to the terms and conditions before you get the key. To do this you go back to the #alpha-key channel and type “/showSLA”. You can read it via the message you’ll be DM’d, then you go back to the #alpha-key channel and type “/acceptSLA”. Then finally type “/getKey” again to be DM’d your key. Please note that the key is to be used when running the game (it isn’t a Steam key)
