Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a Wild West dark fantasy styled roguelite FPS where a lone gunslinger battles a criminal cartel in the afterlife.
In Soulslinger: Envoy of Death you have become an envoy of Death who has been tasked with eliminating a criminal cartel in a Wild West styled afterlife. What this means for you is that you travel through portals to different arenas, blast hordes of enemies, slay bosses and collect cool weapons and upgrades.
It looks and plays a lot like a non-rhythm action version of Metal: Hellsinger, which is good if you don’t have any rhythm, but also means it feels a little generic at times. It could also do with adding an FOV slider (the FOV seems a little too high for the style of play), other than that though there’s a lot to like – the visuals are beautiful, the portal transitions are very cool, the guns feel great and there are plenty of upgrades to collect. It’s certainly worth pulling the trigger on the demo.
