Soviet Jump Game is essentially a 50 player battle royale game that’s played out in a glitchy Russian Super Mario Bros knock off.
Created by Thom Glunt, Soviet Jump Game is a battle royale game where players fight to be the last one standing in a 2D side-scrolling platformer world. At the start of each round players are teleported to different areas of one large level where they can collect coins and grab wacky power-ups. A moving wall of spikes slowly forces players closer together where they then attempt to kill each other and be the last one standing.
At the moment your enjoyment of Soviet Jump Game will most likely depend on where in the world you are as some of the servers suffer from some real lag. That said, if you do manage to get into a game with a low Ping rate then it’s a lot of fun. The pixel art animation is excellent, the gameplay is fast paced and fun, and the Soviet themed Mario knock-off setting works very well. A whole lot of fun if the servers behave. If not then there’s always Mario Royale!
