SYNTHETIK: Arena is a stylish rogue-lite top-down shooter set in a retro-futuristic alternate 1985 where an army of advanced robots is threatening to take over the world.
Playable in single-player or online co-op, SYNTHETIK: Arena is a standalone expansion to SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising (which we featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last March). In the game you take control of a long forgotten Android prototype that contains a human consciousness, and you’re all that is standing between an AI uprising that’s threatening to wipe out humanity. You need to defeat the “Machine Legion” and prevent them from unleashing a powerful weapon known as the Heart of Armageddon.
SYNTHETIK: Arena features five unique challenges that you can play alone or with a friend. The combat is fast and skill based, with lots of customization options and dozens of weapons, items, perks and character upgrades to unlock. In co-op you can even share your perks, buffs and loot with your partner to increase your chances of success. There’a a lot to master too, with active reload mechanics, weapon malfunctions, movement based recoil, headshots and weapons that all handle differently.
It’s an impressive game that blends high quality visuals, intense top down shooter action and gameplay that has plenty of depth. Sign up for the Beta to see if you can quash the robot uprising!
Special thanks to OGZxFTWGlitcher for the heads up about this Beta!
